My name is Lauren, and I have worked in Special Educational Needs, supporting children and families with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs for the past 15 years.
The children that I have worked with as a SENCo and Senior Leader have a range of diagnoses, such as ADHD, ASD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder and Developmental Trauma.
My experience of working with children who often display challenging behaviours has required me to have a toolbox of strategies to support and manage their behaviours with compassion and understanding whilst remaining curious about what the behaviour is trying to communicate.
